Serendipity Projects is Graphic Design for web and print. We are part of a freelance collaboration which includes web designers, database programmers and other designers.
BACKGROUND - I have been a designer for many years and commenced as Serendipity Projects in 2004. I chose the word Serendipity because I am enjoying finding a new direction in my life. Working for myself, I am happily free to cast around and see what happens. I have amassed a wide range of experience in various fields of graphic design, working at times for the public service, in my own business and with an exhibition company. At the moment I am mainly working on WebSites with Boldacious WebDesign. I like to work with you, the client, to figure out the best visual language to represent your business and communicate your message, whether this be with a website, logo, report, poster, advertisement or display. Together we will establish: What is the best way to communicate with your audience? How will your clients get the most from your publication or website? How do you want to be seen? What do you want to say? What is the best medium for you to say it? Please click on the links at the left to check out some of my favourite portfolio pieces. Email me if you are interested in my work. NEWS - I am adding tips on how to supply artwork for web and print. Stay tuned to find out about time saving methods to supply your designer with the right files; - don't waste the designers time rejecting dodgy files - don't waste your time resupplying files, - don't threaten your deadline, - prevent the risk of mistakes from last minute panic, - save your money on unexpected extra design bills, and - end up with a quality job that you are both happy with. Cate Adams Serendipity:- The faculty of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for. The word was first coined in 1754 by English author Horace Walpole. Serendip was the old name for Sri Lanka. He explained that this name was part of the title of a silly fairy tale, called The Three Princes of Serendip: as their highnesses travelled, they were always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things which they were not in quest of. |
